I think this would be cool music for a HL2 level.

Um.....wow. That musical piece was awesome to say the least. I agree that this would not fit an action sequence at all in Half-Life 2, but could be used in a more dramatic, plot twist/conspiracy thing. It's very mysterious. I like it a lot. Granted, it isn't fast paced, but not all music has...

    Loast Coast Thoughts and Impressions?

Oddly enough, I found Halo (and Halo 2) to have a "run and gun" playstyle. Co-op and vehicles helped add a lot to combat though. And I will say that Halo 2 was more diffcult than Half-Life 2, especially on hard. Two different games, two different experiences. Half Life 2 has much more going...

    lost coast and october

No news is better than bad news. Who knows? VALVe doesn't need publicity for Aftermath. They may be keeping the low down on it and then bust it out as a suprise. It may be released a lot sooner than most people think. Remember HL2: DM?

    Loast Coast Thoughts and Impressions?

......................... I was blown away. Literally. I had been expecting something cool...but this good? VALVe has managed to top themselves once again. That 20-30 minutes of playing was more fun than many recent FULL games I have played. Well, of course, I'm a huge HL fan...but still. The...

    Enemy Emotions

I would piss my pants. That would be awesome. Sounds awesome. I'm going to give it a go

    Hydras in Aftermath?

Why is everyone saying that the Hydra sucked because it was boring as hell to fight? Why even fight it in the first place? I personally thought the enemy was extremely cool. It would be cool if it sort of chased you around for awhile, and your goal was to avoid it. Combine would get it in...

What exactly is the appeal of DoD?

Perfectly said. A clan is all good and well, but having a bunch of strangers actually want to work together feels so damn good. People who probably didn't give a crap before, and now, with someone taking the position of a leader and getting everyone pumped up, they do care. It feels great...

    Which Barney is THE BARNEY?

That's the beauty of this game. The fans created Barney. Don't know any other game that has ever achieved this level of interaction with the playerbase and the developers.

Just finished preloading DOD:S (I am not kidding).

The Dark Tower is one of my all time favorite novels ever. Followed closely by The Stand. Roland Deschain is one of the most interesting, cool, bad-ass (I hate using that word, but there's nothing else that can describe him) characters ever created.

Wasn't Breen in a wheelchair in Decay ?

I always thought HL looked great. Even now, when I replay the game, I love the whole look and feel. HL is so centered on gameplay that the graphics (or lack thereof) do not take away from it at all. That's the problem with 90% of games that are released today -- it's all eyecandy.

    You didn't. I just didn't want to sound like a noobtard :)

    is it just me......

That statement right there was my entire point. I don't really even think of HL and HL2 as a game. Perhaps I am crazy?

    is it just me......

Hmmm...perhaps I should rephrase: Half-Life 1 was a completely and utterly new and original experience for me. I had never played another game like it in my gaming years. Yes, DOOM(and plenty of other games) had aliens and whatnot, but the presentation of HL1 was original. Now, if you...
