Stuck as in first the video gets cut off and then sound and then sound comes back on then goes back off. And yes in a hard way I can do Alt + Del and end the program, then it shows Runtime error

Iam getting stuck in Half Life 2. When I open new game some guy, Gman or what ever talks and talks and after 10 seconds it gets stuck :@ Anyone can point me to the problem. BTW I meet the full requirements of the game :)
