    in adition to the audio being slow, I would like the non slowed characters (i.e. the g-man and the player ) to conduct his animations/ and activities in realtime. Basically, I have the setup planned out, I simply need a way of creating and throwinga ragdoll from a trigger.

    okay basically I have it worked out that I need a way of throwing ragdolls further than the physics currently does by itself as you can see the ragdoll equivilent of the npc has some sort of limit on it's motion or somthing and just won't fly in the cool way that the dead npc does!

    the only way you can probably do it is not change the wav files at all but instead edit the sounds.txt files that refer to them in the scripts folder. Simpy change how loudly the game plays them. Of course this means you'll have to normalise "manually" but at least you wont loose the work.

    oohhh... i didn't know you had to restart the map after you typed buildcubemaps, thanks for that. What extra files doyou need to include to give the built cubemaps to people or does the game encorperate it with the bsp?

    yes it seems to be somthing thats popped out of the blue cough *bug* cough here's mine, might work you never know, other wise i'd recommend the standard fix of "redownloading the sdk" *groan* (rename to lights.rad)

    i had this problem and solved it by copying the lights.rad file from my half-life2/hl2 folder to the sourcesdk/bin folder not sure if it was the best way but it worked for me

    i've tried a cube map in several different positions but no luck yet... v1p3r: err... thats it at the moment! Suggest somthing! Its just a demo piece, though I will fashion out a decent room later.

    Hehe... :) I think I've worked it out. I added a folder called sound and then placed the wav files in there in an appropriate folder. so I had ...mymod/sound/npc/gman/guilty.wav then I edited the npc_sounds_gman.txt file and added //ANDYS CUSTOM SOUNDS START HERE...

    Face Poser - Last Extraction Result: an error occured during exctraction.

    I had the same problem, microsoft speech SDK need to be installed and the the wav file you are working on MUST be encoded to 44khz 16 bit stereo (use sound recorder and just do a " save as") when it wasn't my version of face poser just crashed.
