Hmm, something strange happened but I just played select HL2 levels and when i tried to load d2_coast_02 map... well, i didn't have it... I played the whole game several times now but never noticed it I had it to begin with... its just strange, maybe i deleted it or something? Can anyone confirm...

there are several different ways to set up a skybox but the quickest (not the best but gives same effect) is create a box brush around your map, make it hollow, apply toolsskybox texture, and create light_environment. Look in google for better tutorials... this was just to give you an idea.
