Super-set your bench with pull-ups. If you can succesfully do plenty of pull-ups after a tough bench, you know you have some kind of power in you. Thing is, most people can't pull-up to save their lives even if they were fresh.
Pull-ups are the manliest, gnarliest, and outright greatest...
In reality, it can take muscles weeks to reach their full strength after a very hard workout. Of course, enough repair will have happened after a few days that you could re-work the muscle without too much discomfort. Personally, I wouldn't work the same muscle group more than twice a week...
The issue here is that a novice would be A) Unable to perform proper form due to excessive weight B) the danger associated with going so heavy with such little experience behind them C) unable to cope with the fact that that is a piss hard workout to accomplish sucessfully and quickly.
It is...
Protein is a suber-uber-mega broad based term. There are more proteins than any one person can know or understand. What you really are looking for in supplementation are the different kinds of amino acids needed to build specific proteins. That is, if your body is lacking a certain amino acid...
The muscles look like they get bigger because the individual muscles fibres enlarge. Essetially, a muscle is a bunch of fibres wrapped up in a circular shape with coatings around them to keep them together. Not a great description, but it is hard to explain on a forum.
As far as creatine goes...
Ech...I hate to say it bryan, but you aren't making much sense.
First, your muscles (as all your cells) are composed of various types of proteins. Now, when you weight train, you damage certain parts of the fibre and its outer coatings. This can lead to Ca++ ions leaking out resulting in a...
Just think about eccentric/concentric movements (wiki it if you don't know these terms) and the different stresses you feel when going from one movement to the other.
Simple example, take a bicep EZ bar curl. Done properly, the eccentric movement can really tighten up your tricep if done...
Exactly, they are complementary to one another. Working one indirectly works the other. Not to the degree of working out the muscle directly, but still the antagonist muscle will be stressed.
Using this fact can build powerful weightlifting regimes, if you know what you are doing.
My only qualm is that there is a tinge of arrogance in posting those verses as a basis for dislike against Islam. Islamic scholars are quick to say they do not understand the Qu'ran in its entirety, and these are people who dedicate their lives to the understanding and practise of the Islamic...
Easy to find an english translation and copy and paste, rather than study the text in it's natural language under the proper contexts.
The Qu'ran asks the readers to spend hours, days and weeks contemplating the verses and see their real meaning. But of course, copy and pasting translations...
I have not read this whole thread, because I don't think I could handle it. Regardless, I just felt I should throw this out there.
Muhammad (pbuh) would advise his muslim army prior to battle to ensure that:
1) Women, children, and the elderly were not to be harmed.
2) Those who took refuge in...
Good man, Barney.
I rolled back to 84.21, and things are looking clean. Res is back to 1280x1024, and refresh rate is 72. I just hope that the next forceware update doesn't screw me so royally.
I just installed the new nvidia drivers, and everything has gone to hell. My res is borked, and it won't let me do anything past 1280x800, despite my having a 19' lcd monitor. I am kind of pissed off right now, so any tips as to how to fix this jazz would be appreciated.
Things I have done...
