    anyone elese noticed this

OFP has excellent movement. You can actually move your gun around a little BEFORE your character starts to move (thats why it fells a little laggy until you play it for a while), ideal for hidin in a bush and aiming without being seen to move. The hit detection is also pretty cool on OFP...

    Dile's words

Hla fLife is 5 years old though, and yer developers are STILL immitating it. Call of Duty (again just my opinion) is just another of these imitations. The whole 'feel' is so cramped that every single encounter feels heavily scripted, rather than actually just a little script to move things...

    Dile's words

And that sucks. At least give them SOME freedom. Operation is the greatest military game ever, and has some of the best AI ive seen in any game, past or present. This is why half life 2 will be so good, the AI, realistic characters and there interaction with the player and the environment...

    Dile's words

You are very rude AND Youve been walking around blindy :) Docks level where you use the crane, go into the office where the switch is to open the door, a LAMP on the table casting lighting, move the lamp around and see. EDIT: my bad, although it looked realtime when i saw it the 1st time...

Source tech still in development ???

Half Life 2 uses a mixture of dynamic and static light maps. If you have played the Beta (shame on me) you would see that dynamic light sources are included with things like table lamps that you can move around, (problem is they only work in specific areas and then it seems the effect is turned...

What make of card will you play HL2 on?

I know too many judge the WHOLE game on the 'beta'. But from what i.ve seen the set pieces are awsome, the graphics are great, atmospheric and seamless between indoor and outdoor environments. Dunno if anyone has mentiond this, you KNOW youre playing a descendant of half life just by the...

What make of card will you play HL2 on?

For now a GF4Ti4400, in the new year whatever the best card is at the time. Stalker does look great, but imho a little cartoony (just a little). And the physics look crap. The ragdoll effects look poo and so does the driving model. Half life 2 (beta) looks a litle bland (compared to what i...
