Yeah.. the only iron sight feature I ever really used in a game that I liked was the one in "Blackhawk Down". And that was only for the aimpoint sights. It worked nicely. The method you described always felt pretty intrusive to me also. That's the main thing I dislike anout Stalker at the...

I hope they eventually do an automatic weapon correctly in a game. I think all game programmers should have to go to a shooting range and fire a few hundred rounds through the guns they are portraying in-game. THEN.. sit back and watch the pros use them. Then maybe we won't see this 45 degree...

Or convince a group of teenagers that they're beta testing the newest space exploration game. Give them some coordinates, a joystick, and a bunch of carbonated beverages, and snack foods and let them have at. You'd see some strange results though. :p

Perhaps in the cosmic scheme of things, but as most people understand it, probably not. I like to think the planet has some wonderful new trick up its sleeves. :) Like a virus that weakens your immune system, and is spread through sexual intercourse, so humans don't propagate so fast. Hmmmmm...

Bah... natural selection takes too long. I'm hoping for a large impact event, or hundreds of volcanoes erupting at once. You know... something that will be cool for a few minutes, then do the job real fast. :)

Well, Neutrino, I agree there. I think we need to explore what we call home, and find out how to live on THIS planet before we start thinking about the others.

Maybe I'm weird, but I honestly, and fervently hope that mankind never leaves this rock and contaminates the rest of the galaxy. [edit] okay, that was harsh, but true. I read that a bit ago and it is cool.... I just dislike humans in general.
