No one realises how important defragmenting is. Let me tell you first hand that when I didn't know about defragmenting I would get slow loading times and all my programs would run sluggish. So, what I suggest to you is to defragment and see if that solves any of your really long loading times...

You might also want to try to defragment your computer. I had stuttering once and so I defragmented, and it fixed the stuttering. Also, you should try defragmenting after you get an update or add/remove large files, as not defragmenting can cause slow read times from your hard drive, thus...

Well, this happend to me when I installed the new drivers. So, I just rolled back the driver. You can also get the older versions of drivers from here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html if you have Windows XP/2000.

Its very simple. Just place the four .dem files in C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\YOURNAME\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp Then go in your game, open up console and type "playdemo hover" and for the next demo type "playdemo hover2" without the ". And thats it.

I got the Listen-to-believe USB-M 5.1 Surroundsound Headset, and they sound great. But, don't get them beacuse they suck.

I'm definately going for Half-Life 2. It was so amazing! It was a completely ownage experience, compared to the others. Yep, Doom 3 is collecting dust while I play Half-Life 2 and the mods every day.
