They're PDT right now (GMT -8, I think).
You probably won't see any announcements until after 5 or 6am, their time. Their workday probably starts a bit earlier, though, so who knows.
I made a wallpaper out of that piece of concept art that was found through the second test. I love the tension in the scene...

The original was an excellent game. It had a very good, multi-pathed storyline and had some very unique gameplay elements. Too bad it's sequel wasn't nearly as revolutionary (it actually regressed in some areas, IMO).
Getting your legs and arms blown off in the game and having to inch your...
I agree with what your saying, Ikerous. Being shot in the foot (although painful) shouldn't be instantly fatal. Even bleeding to death would take longer.
Deus Ex had an interesting way of handling body damage. The various parts of the body had hit points separate from all the other parts...
HL2 would still be attached to your Steam account, even if you broke the cd. You'd still be able to download the game through Steam.
I'd get a hardcopy of the game if my ISP were that stingy.
I don't think they were useless. If they were positioned correctly in a map, they could be pretty effective. Sure, the only time I ever got caught by one was when I was careless but I think that was the point. They were supposed to keep you on your toes.
It'll be interesting to see how...
It wouldn't bother me if there wasn't an official multiplayer component to HL2. I think I only played one game of HLDM and then promptly forgot about it and started playing TFC. HL2 singleplayer should keep me occupied until the community mods start to pour in.
I'd also like to see the...

Half-Life 2 doesn't seem to have many scary areas (with the exception of the graveyard) but I'll still play it with my lights turned down (and probably at odd hours as well :D).
I can't wait to see what the modders out there can do with the engine. The lighting capabilities should allow for...
Yep, I'll probably read it front to back, basic gameplay instructions and all. It's the very first thing I do with any newly purchased game. It's always interesting to see how much time is put into a manual. I like what Valve (or whoever does the manuals) did with the previous manual. They...
Yeah, the Half-Life name alone will bring in astronomical sales. It'll be interesting to see the figures from the first month or so.
As for buying the game, absolutely. I've been waiting (along with the rest of you) since just before E3 2003 when I first heard about a sequel to Half-Life...
