I'm disappointed, but not surprised - it has been dragging on for a long time. Good luck to the team - I hope they can eventually deliver it, and I'll be waiting for it to be available for download. It was always an ambitious task, and it's clearly much more ambitious than they ever imagined...

Borderlands was on sale at Amazon for a mere £17 delivered at the start of the week (I bagged a copy). Sadly it's now gone back up to £24 again :( Could have been a potential misprice, but the order was honoured and my package arrived today.

Those weather effects do look rather lush, seem to add a whole new level to it. I am still not convinced enough to purchase at full price though.

And sorry for being picky, but I notice the new banner seems to be lacking L4D2 artwork, although this may be deliberate? Still, the overall site looks great, and I've been hanging around here on/off for years. It's the best it's looked in ages. Well done guys.

In the UK you can pre-order from quite a few etailers at £30 or just under. That seems to the best option for us hard done by PC gamers. I haven't cancelled my pre-order, because I will still enjoy the single-player, but this whole no dedicated-server malarky is hard to accept given that without...

I downloaded and installed it the other night without any problems, but I can't seem to actually get to play anything? I start the game, try out the weapons...then what? I go into the rooms where you choose the CS maps and the campaign maps, but can't select them - I'm obviously missing...

Isn't this pretty much like CS and CS: Source? We have two games which are effectively the same, just the newer version has more 'bells & whistles'. Some die hards will continue to play L4D and the others will move on to L4D 2. Whilst it's disappointing there's nothing new on HL itself, I think...
