I came to the forums to suggest something like this, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who is hoping for an extremely difficult setting. I'd like to see more enemies with more health, more armour, more grenades and weapons which do a lot of damage. I'd have less ammo, take more damage and get...
Shepherd released in Episode 2 to capture the wayward scientist :cheese:
I think the transmission Alyx has will contain information about the G-Man and Freeman. Once the Combine realised the G-Man had lost control, they were doing everything possible to tell their off-world superiors.
I laughed when Barney told me to try and not lose the crowbar because he didn't have many left.
When you zoom the flashlight in on Alyx's face she put's her hand up to shield her eyes.
After she made the zombie sound I turned the flashlight off to recharge it, and she sounded worried...
Thanks for the suggestions, but I was reminded I still had my old GeForce 4 tucked safely away in an anti-static bag. When I put that in the computer booted and is now working as normal. I just hope the warranty on the 9800 is still valid :)
The BIOS is Phoenix - AwardBios, and from looking at their beep codes it seems I have a RAM or motherboard problem.
However, when I powered it up with no RAM in, I got a different code, which was a slower repeating beep. I'm hoping it's the RAM though because the new heatsink I put in is a good...
System Specs:
Abit NF-8 motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
1024GB DDR RAM (2x512)
Radeon 9800 Pro
Also a SATA hard drive and 480W PSU but I don't think these parts are causing the problem
Problem:
A few days ago, about 5-10 seconds after switching on I got a two tone alarm from the...
Someone mentioned a theory about time dilation, which I'm at a loss to explain, but if you stand beside the portal just before entering Nihilanth's chamber, you hear the scientists saying things you heard at the beginning of the game... "We tried to warn them!" etc.
Theoretically speaking...
A game is "just a game" in the same way books are 'just' books, or films are 'just' films. A game can still have lots of little details making up the story which HL2 proves, even if most of them are subtle. You wouldn't infer much of a book simply by looking at it and the same goes for HL2, and...
"Forget about Freeman! We are cutting our losses and pulling out! Anyone left down there now is on his own! Repeat, if you weren't already you are now!"
"How could one man have slipped through your force's fingers, time and time again? How is it possible? This is not some agent provacateur, or highly trained assassin we are discussing. Gordon Freeman is a theoretical physicist..."
Part of my favourite Breencast :cheese:
The clue to killbox is in it's name: a box in which kills take place.
The only problem I have with it is that it is always played on incredibly laggy servers.
