Oh, .308, definately much better but with the bigger round comes the problem of a smaller magazine capacity, more recoil, and being able to carry less ammunition. Aparently some soldiers say they cant take the recoil of the .308.....i think thats BS

Shorter range yes, "lowish stopping power" not really, at close-medium ranges it outdoes 5.56 almost all the time. I havent used them in real life, but i do know factual info on em, not CS stuff(of which most is wrong). Next weekend one of my dads friends is gonna bring an FN FAL i can shoot...

They are for me. If it looks ugly to me, chances are i wont buy it.

Im not sure if they could pass as a sniper rifle, but the .308 ammunition makes it a much better choice for long range shots than .223.

Some marines in Iraq still use M14s. They work much better than M4s for longer range shots.

If were going for cool, HK hands down. They have the MK 23, MP-7, and the G3. If were goin for better, FN, check out the FN SCAR. By the way guys, the FiveseveN/P90s rounds are just a little bit better than .22 magnums. They arent as great armor piercers as everyone says.
