The project ideas and design look very good. I really enjoy single player mods with a good story, so I would enjoy this. I just hope it can get the support it needs; it seems like the Half-life 2 mod community isn't very strong. At least that's how it looks to me right now.
It may look okay aesthetically, but it fails with advertising the product I think. It doesn't really have any connection to the game other than throwing the box in right at the end. I wish they had something that represented the games more.
I will agree that there is a lot of confusion with where to go and what to do; at least in the marines. That often leads to the insurgence winning. But there is something that this mod has: atmosphere. I really feel like I'm in a firefight with the sounds, gunfire, explosions, etc.
I think going with File Planet was a huge mistake. I'm not even going to bother making an account just for this. I'm using a torrent, but I'm only getting around 30 KB/s..
I've been having a problem with Half-life 2 and counter-strike source with my new computer. My computer has: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, Nvidia 7300 LE, and 1gb ram. Yet, I've been crashing, like in Half-life 2. In Point Insertion, I crash as soon as I step out of the train. Sometimes it doesn't...
I downloaded CPU-Z and it also lists it as 1gb of ram. Well, it's been working fine so far, but it's still frustrating that I was misled.
I guess I wasn't so lucky. I don't understand how this could happen; the advertisement for it, and the label on the CPU tower lists it as 2gb ram. Sadly, I...
I bought a new stock HP computer that has an E6400 Core 2 duo and 2gb ram among other things. However, when I go through my control panel and check my system specs, it lists it as only 1gb ram. What's going on?
Thanks, it seems that my drivers were outdated. Half-life 2 works fine now. However, when I play SMOD it crashes, and I get an error message-Failed to lock vertex buffer in CMesh DX8::LockVertexBuffer. Anyone know what that means?
