^^Not really. Even though I might be a little more inclined to talk about Crysis's strengths vs weaknesses, this did not stir up my fanboi-ism.
What made me mad was the lack of quality journalism in that review, hell he didn't even cover MP.
Here is a review at Euro gamer I found to be rather accurate and balanced:

Edit: Woops already posted
here is one from game daily:

That one page spat is a review? Just when 1up had earned my respect they go and churn out this little rant from a person who looked like they hacked it together for their english high school paper. Sad times...
At least gamespot gave their review more than 3/4th of a page.
To be honest, the sniper rifle is rather boring to use. You just zoom, and click to kill some one. It's basically the 357 with a scope and single shot.
This is the beta version though so it will most likely be radically changed if it's put ingame.
Think you just press the drop key and you should switch back to a single pistol.
The first person weapon animations are different than the player model's animations, so they won't match up.
*Sigh*
As for portal's graphics, I think it was done mostly for effect in post-proc. To my knowledge, DOF is not implemented in the current source build.
