I am pretty sure that HW RAID REQUIRES a minimum of 2 drives.. thats the whole point - half of the data on each drive / twice the speed... all other RAID is software.. BTW RAID = Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks so anyway.. you need a matched set of 2 identical drives I think.
