I think ALL companies who port games from one format to another should be REQUIRED to disclose what format the game was originally designed for.
Here is my point: If i want to play a CONSOLE game, I will buy a blasted console!
In this age of non-returnable software and $50 for a title. A...
I hate to be negative but I have upgraded mobos several times under windows XP and it has NEVER gone well for me. I wind up re installing the OS no matter what. It's funny under 95 and 98 it was no big deal. The biggest problems seem to come from BIG changes like going from one CPU mfg to...
OK well, IMO using ME and not 98SE, 2000 or XP is 99.99% of your problem.
It is WELL documented that ME is a POS, and the bastard child of Bill and MS.
It never really worked well at ALL, EVER, right from the start.
Using one of the other ones, you could have just about hit the restart...
I am pretty sure that HW RAID REQUIRES a minimum of 2 drives.. thats the whole point - half of the data on each drive / twice the speed... all other RAID is software..
BTW RAID = Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks
so anyway.. you need a matched set of 2 identical drives I think.

good question sidewinder: 224MB is a VERY odd number, for memory.

I have 2 old laptops about that age, one is compaq, one is acer. Both are about that old. Pentium's I think, collecting dust. If you want to try and use one of these for parts, contact me off list. ed
hey dude i run a pc with lower end specs than that as a media PC myself it should be no problem.
important items though: lots of memory!, some video codecs/ compressions use cpu time / some use gobs memory, 512mb minimum.

just thinking of watching dvds on my computer using that thing makes me drool. although the $1600 tag brings me back to reality, it damn sure is easy on the eyes.

OK dude, look no harm done, I looked at the PDF for that HP L2335 , it's pretty rightous! The response time, brightness, contrast are all well over the acceptable limits. My last concern is about native resolution vs. what you want to use.
I read somewhere about trouble converting resolutions...
