Nope it didn't work. Apparently, the problem is with my account. I am now hoing to try using a friends account and see what happens.

Well, i tried running the game in spanish, but that didn't help. If i backup my steamapps folder and reinstall steam, do I have any chance of fixing this? EDIT: 13 GB. This will take a while.

Deleting the ClientRegistry.blob didnt work (it helps when you have slow downloads, though). I find it very strange that steam is downloading the low violence gcf when my game is not in german. It sucks.

(sorry for the double post) I hope you dont mean the party mod. In those servers gibs are replaced by gifts, etc. What I am talking about here is that in a normal server, I still don't get any gibs. I am currently re-downloading the game again.

I could try that, could you name a server you know it has high violence?
