I have a x800 pro 256mb, p4 2.8ht and 1gb ram, run hl2 at 1024x768 4xAA 8xAF and all maxed out. around 65fps.

it runs PERFECTLY with it, i run it at 1024x768 4xAA and 8xAF everything maxed out and get throughout the whole game around 60-70 fps, just awesome.

hey, I just got a new x800pro 256mb and the card just kicks so much ass, omg... but I dont know if this is supposed to happen, everywhere in hl2 the water is fine, but in cs:s, it is ok in all maps, except in aztec, there, the water is like directx8, its really mudy and brown, dont know if thats...

ok uhm, I just went through my valve directory and found out that ALL my sound folders are GONE, like they were deleted... like... wtf??? did the update do that? now, do i have to reinstall EVERYTHING?? or is there a way to fix that??

I have a 5600 and it works perfectly on directx8 1024x768 2xAA everything maxed out, around 60fps, but I dont even bother puttin' it to directx9 cuz even on 640x480 everything low I get like, 20fps... even less... I bought a x800pro 256mb and it will arrive next saturday, I'm just tired of this...

uhm, are you running the game on directx9? cuz I have a fx 5600 and I switched back to directx7 just to see my performance and I got those white boxes too, but on CS:S, I actually didnt play HL2 after that, but then I switched back to directx8 and the problem was gone tho... dont really know...
