I have a 7600GS, looks great at 1024 x 768 everything on high apart from textures which are on medium. I'd go with PC version myself.

I have the same apart from the processor, which is a dual core 4200+ . The graphics card which was my main worry can handle it fine with everything on high apart from textures which are on medium and a resolution of 1024 x 768. I really doubt you'll have to upgrade, I'm not sure how CPU...

I have a 128MB radeon 9550, the weakest of the weak these days and its never crashed on me.

I didn't see Exit 17 pop up on my screen Same thing happened to me, must be a bug. Because of that I was disappointed when the game ended, as I thought there was two more chapters.

I can try: 1.5Ghz 512 MB RAM 60GB Radeon 9550 128MB HL2 still works sweet as a nut, but CSS can get laggy with upwards of 25 players.

his CPU isnt the culprit, I run it fine (albeit everything on low) on a Athlon XP 1800+ with 512MB ram and a radeon 9550.

I've got it working relatively well on Athlon XP 1800+, Radeon 9550 and 512MB ram. Not with HDR on though, but running lost coast is certainly doable on lower spec.

HL2 is coming out on the xbox, not the xbox 360. and to be fair most xbox gamers seem to be fairly open to the idea of HL2 on xbox, and quite a few seem to be looking forward to it. I'm going by what I've seen on the xbox UK forums though.

i am currently in a similar situation. i upgraded my PC in january fairly cheaply just to play HL2 (Radeon 9550 to replace GeForce2, upgraded to 512MB ram). This is already nearly out of date, and for future games my PC wont be able to handle them. I can either upgrade again, and spend more...

there is a way Scorpion, i had to do the same thing, but it was a good couple of years ago and cannot remember how i did it :(.

the fight at the lighthouse was a highlight. as was follow freeman just before u get to the citadel and i was running away from one strider when another one where i was heading appeared by clearing loads of cars and rubble out the way. all i remember thinking was "shit"
