I plan to incorporate that feature into my mod, so luckily Far Cry supports it as well as Half-Life 2. I mean, what's a Terminator game if it doesn't have the retro '80s synth music?
Have you been to the nostalgia project at PlanetHalfLife? It has plenty of images from the early versions of Half-Life. Oh yeah, and if you take a look in Pak0.pak, you can see some of the gutted models, like the Archer, chumtoad and construction worker.
I think the most pissed off, development veteran is George Broussard, who leads the Duke Nukem Forever team. Gabe has had to put up with "When will it be done?" for five months. Broussard has had to put up with "When will it be done?" for over five years. :D
Nah, I'm looking forward to Far Cry, which has a release date set sometime in March, and most likely it will make the release date, as the developers are preparing everything. Hell, a demo has been released, so it can't be to far off.
Oh yes, and also Blue Shift is referring to the shift that Barney Calhoun is working at Black Mesa - that's the double conotation. You pick that up if you've read the manual.

A G-Man has two meanings. The first meaning denotates an individual who works for a government agency. The second refers to a Gangster from the era of prohibition. So either G-Man is a fed, or he's packing a Thompson in his violin case he carries.
You can see the evidence with the early screenshots. Barney was originally going to a Military Police officer. LOL! And then there was all the aliens that they cut out, like the ant lion (aka Mr. Friendly, which is returning in HL2 in a rather cooler and different form) and all that stuff...
Why not buy Doom III and Half-Life 2. Make the most out of the beast of a rig you'll need? [;)]
Maybe the respective games attract gamers who have played the original? Like, HL1 fans may be younger in general than Doom series fan, perhaps. Anyway, they're going to be (hopefully; I better not...
