So does the PC version...and of course the Mac version...in fact the 360's the only version that runs on DirectX, so I'm not sure what PaoloM's point is exactly...
Quake Wars is heavily dependent on streaming off the hard drive, so make sure you have plenty of disc space and that it's defragmented.
They've tweaked the balancing since the beta...most significantly the GDF can now capture the forward bridge spawn point before hacking the shield generator.
Er, no games have not been able to do unique texturing yet...not unless video cards suddenly got several gigabytes of memory. id Tech 5 can do it because of the special streaming tech they have (Megatexture stuff).
Weren't you listening? Carmack didn't have anything to do with Doom 3's gameplay (outside of insisting on the GUI system instead of simple buttons). The last FPS that Carmack was a gameplay designer on was Quake 3, and I'd say given the following that game has he understands gameplay very well...
And would you say the same thing about Nintendo? They seem to have a fair number of very popular games that are all about gameplay over story.
And in any case Carmack has shown plenty of interest in story as evidenced by Orcs and Elves which is the last game since Quake 3 that he has had...

Mostly interview, but there's some tasty new gameplay footage cut in later.
They must have prematurely put the page up...while it was up it listed "PC DVD-ROM" as the only platform. And in any case Infinity Ward has already said (in reply to comments about COD4) that they will always develop for the PC first and foremost.

Uh, who do you think makes the PC dev tools...
That's correct, as Reginald said, Telltale will put up their own download on Nov. 1st. After the first six episodes are out (about spring 2007), they'll come out with a CD release of the first six episodes together, which will cost about $35 (significantly cheaper then getting each episode...
That isn't the worst of it though, pbmax at doom3world.org already made a portal mod (just using scripts...he didn't even need to use the SDK) for Quake 4 last year.

Of course on the other hand Prey has a lot more...
No, they were offering $250 and a game from Activision for www.enemy-territory.com ...for that name. The website is his, it's the name they (marketing people at Activision) wanted. (Not that unreasonable...Valve has the domain name www.half-life2.com) Someone higher up heard about it, and now...
