From the sound of it, this is just going to be a minor maintenance patch to fix primarily the server browser (which is good). I don't think any of the other issues we really care about will be fixed for a couple months, if then. As for maps... you'll probably have to wait for mods or the next...
I've been complaining about this since the demo. It is absolutely asinine that they didn't label the points somehow, either using letters, numbers, or a grid or something. How hard could that be? If they really want to promote coordinated teamplay this is about the easiest and most important...
Has everyone checked this site out? http://jrm.cc/bf2stats/? It's pretty cool and seems to be updated as regularly as the ingame one. Now you can see if that d00d is really l33t as he says he is.
Name: gossoon

Vehicles: Good driver of ground vehicles. Don't ask about air.
The filters are crap too. If you try to filter FULL servers it still comes back with about half the list being full up. It is probably the worst browser ever.
Also, if you run a third party browser app over it how does that work? Does it sit on top of it or do you have to somehow minimize the...
I heard this was already in development.
And the mod tools haven't been released yet but will be soon. There have been plenty of ideas kicked around. Personally, I'm just looking forward to the ones that will improve the game as it is because I on't have much faith that EA will seriously do...
I'm getting the occasional crash to the desktop too, but at least it loads.
AND might I add the browser sucks a cheekfull.
There is no help. It's called a unfinished game. Hopefully they'll get around to completing by fall.
I think all that lag and stuttering in MP is just bad net code or swamped servers. I hope they get this sorted out because it will kill the game if people can't even get a 32 player game to run smoothly. There's no excuse for this - the whole point of the game is MP!
Just to update. I logged in today and my stats were there. SO I guess what's happening is that EA's servers are getting hammered, but they are still recording stats. It will just take awhile before they're available for download.
Heard problems with this before. Some people have suggested logging out and then back in and your rank points will appear. I haven't tried it yet though, or had to really.
I think using hardware-enabled sound only works if you've got a top of the line soundcard, ie Audigy. If your working with a Soundblaster Live budget card like me forget it. Use software sound. In the Readme they give a whole list of compatible cards.
