Valve has nothing to do with the Retail version. Vivendi Universal Games are the ones who decides what media the game is pressed on. So for your own sake, don't "talk about" anything when you're ignorant.
Yeah, see, that would be great, if everyone else didn't bunny hop and whore magnums and rocket launchers ad nauseum. That's what I'm talking about.
If you actually bothered to read my post, I said that the game is revolutionary, but people don't bother to play it that way. They default to all...
I was excited about it, then I realized that no matter what Valve does to make a game revolutionary, people are still gonna whore the same weapons and tactics that they did in every other DM since time began. If I want the same old gameplay from every DM in the last 7-8 years, I'll play...
Don't troll? Is stating facts trolling, now?
I think it's funny that, since the news post by Valve, that people who were trying to run a game with a machine below the minimum specs were actually complaining and blaming valve. That's assinine at best and proves my point exactly.

It all makes sense, now. :)
Awful lot of drama for a video game, don't you think? Maybe you shouldn't stop at just giving away the game, you should probably give your entire computer away. Maybe, you know, get some air, realize that IS a real world out there... And that noone really cares about sob stories pertaining to...
I think the point that is being made here is that you either cannot read, or you figured the very clear and concise mention of Internet Connection required was a joke. Either way... Well, maybe the stupid shouldn't be allowed to own computers.
I've never played HL2 with less then 1GB, but I recently upgraded from 512 and I noticed a huge difference in CS:S. Much, much much smoother. So yeah, for the source engine, 1GB = good.
I'm going to agree with most people here. D3 may have been more technically impressive, but it doesn't "look good", it looks overdone and out of place and tended to detract more then enhance (Though, I admit that the outdoors scenes, on the martian surface looked bloody amazing, they needed more...
