Memorable gaming experience with the Episode 2. It has gotten me surprised, I didn't expect a mod would be better than a game, it is just astonishing. Very fun and suspensefull action. Congratz to teh creatorz.
mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware set to 1 + CFG's = no stuttering
mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware set to 0 + CFG's = stuttering
mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware set to 1 = stuttering
mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware set to 0 = stuttering
without mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware set to 1 the game ****ing stutters, go test it by yourself before telling non proved theories... srry my rudeness, I'm tired of this performance bug.
misterstones, autoexec is necessary, otherwise the fix won't work. It's necessary because to the fix work you need mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware 1 set
I think Gman says "We'll Cheer... About That!" at "Cheer" as a british tone of language. If he really says "see", I think he is pissed on someone (more likely Gordon or Alyx, releasing an enemy against both or something).
Yeah... disabling the autosaves helped me a lot... and adding "-rate 85; -mat_forcemanagedtextureintohardware 0; +map_backgroundnone; -cl_forcepreload 1; -sv_forcepreload 1; -snd_mixahead 0.2" to the Launch Options Tough.
I have fixed 80% of my stuttering by closing every process on the background, crucially, the Norton ones (by alt control del) and not installing SP2. It's more enjoyable than fustrating now, you can be sure it works.
I hope these performance bugs from HL2 (suspected to be from the Source Engine) aren't back in Aftermath...
