there's a tv show by the same name, where the teams have to build contraptions like cars, boats, slingers etc. you wouldn't really need to make a mod, could just use garry's mod and make a map with some triggers.

hl2, is based loosly on 1984..... that pretty much says it right there, if you change it enough that you don't infringe on ip laws, then your most likely just end up with hl2....

teddy, your not saving all too much by giving the guy boxes as feet, they should atleast be a bit more feet shaped, not just blocks stuck to his ankles. also the fisrt guy, his neck is too small and whimpy compared to the rest of the body, beef it up a bit.

i really think that the mapper should add a cubemap as its one of the most primary things for mapping on the source engine, without them maps looks like ass. If your mapper doesn't know this, i recommend that you atleast get a mapper with more experience to help your current mapper(s).

fortune: if your map has a leak it will cause the water to behave strangely like you experienced. make sure you always seal up a map before compiling, if you do end up with a leak and cannot find it, use the pointfile to locate the leak.

you don't seem to have an artistic team to make textures and skinning etc. nor does it seem like you have posistions. just thought id bring this up

one question, why bother with last gen cards? the 9800pro is miles more expensive than the nvidia 6600gt i would highly recommend it just get the agp version. it's the best inclass performance/price out there, and it supports all the latest technology which older cards don't.

yeah, the load was too much for a shared server so he moved onto a dedicated server, but as that was happening his credit card expired, so it went down then. now they're moving it and they're doing something with the dns server. i miss it lots :(

that, and shouldn't a shot gun be able to shoot through some stuff the pistols can, correct me if im wrong, but a shot gun is more powerful right. spose it depends how far away you are.

doesn't it also depend on what kind of brush it is? like for example bullets would pass through wood a lot easier than metal

erm, you can't just use a program to resize pre compiled models. You need the uncompiled model files to do that.

im sure its just a bunch of screen shots stuck together, i got a program with my digi cam that did it, for landscape pictures n such that didn't fit in one picture.

he means the community project making high res textures for hl source, last i heard they had a bunch of textures, not sure whats happening now tho.
