Yeah, I read the steam forums after I posted. I wouldn't trust a random guy who peronally tweaked the 67.02 drivers.

Has anyone tried these drivers to determine if they really work?

I really hope the patch fixes things for me. It's really annoying how I am getting 30 fps and less.

I reinstalled the chip set drivers but no luck.

I reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled Half-Life 2, installed the latest drivers for my GeForce 6800 GT, set everything to the lowest settings possible, and I still get this FPS. I have a 3.2 Ghz P4 and 1 gig of DDR. Any ideas? I don't think it's faulty hardware.

I am severely dissapointed at the stress test results with my rig (6800 GT, 1 gig of ram, 3.2 ghz):

You know what's funny? I concentrated more on the FPS of the game than I did the game itself.

There are people over at the PC General Board on IGN that are getting the same problems. On the Guru 3D forums there doesn't seem to be much of an uprising, but there are still victims.

It doesn't help much so you aren't missing out.

I agree too, all this modification stuff is getting out of hand for just one game. It's like buying an Xbox game and it stutters. Am I suppose to go into my Xbox bios or open the sucker up to fix the problem? Hell no.
