i didnt even ram test mine when it happened to me... i pulled out one of my ram cards and tried it, and figured out this shitty 512 kingston ram was the problem... so i bought another gig of samsung ram

regular dod does look much better than source... a.k.a the shittiest mod for hl2 ever made
