OK, there's one reason, and its a really good reason why i say this thread is wrong. and that is, look at the sticky, the thread posted by gabe newell, gabe newell HIMSELF confirms the validity of the source that was leaked.

because if they dont, their reason for '$' will not work anymore. that is, unless they release it holiday 2004 .... :o

NOT see the delay? If i'm correct, they delayed for localization purposes. how did they NOT see this? like, how did they think they were going to release it on the 30th? did they *forget* about making the game in different languages? lol, sounds odd to me... not trying to bash valve, just wondering.

i for one, am actually not too excited. i mean... its just those bink videos but in real time rendering. big deal, now i can see how slow my computer is, but eh, i guess its better than nothing, right?

according to the japanese interview... they are done with the game, just working on localizing it (japanese, chinese, etc.)
