Really defeats the purpose of episodic content if it takes over a year for each 'episode'. 2-3 hours of gameplay every 4-6 months at $15 a pop. That's what it should be. If Valve can't keep that kind of schedule then they really shouldn't call them episodes. Just call them expansion packs like...
Maybe if MS shows us side-by-side comparisons of practical dx10 vs dx9 demos? I haven't seen anything that makes me want to upgrade to Vista and dx10. Not even a little.
OT - The last PCGamer I got hinted that they were going to have something regarding Duke Nukem Forever. Do you know if this latest issue had any DNF info or was PCG yanking my chain? Again. For the Nth time.
Why do they do these previews knowing the game isn't coming out for another 5 months? It's just stupid to preview something when there's so much time to go and so much room for changes, imo.
Say what you want about TFC being old and bland, I can guarantee you TF2 won't have the 6-7 year staying power TFC had. The original gameplay was fun. The exploits were fun. Your ability to perfect said exploits was fun. With the exception of Counterstrike what multiplayer, team-based fps has...
It sounds like it's going to be a very, very different gameplay experience to TFC. I'm glad Fortress Forever is being developed also, just in case TF2 isn't to my liking.
Haha! Yeah, that isn't awkward and totally out of place. Could they atleast try to blend the ads in so they aren't so blatantly out of place? Better yet, put the ads in the menu screen or put them up when you die.
Not a surprise considering Valve's penchant for delaying games until they're perfect however I'm curious as to why they didn't just sell the package early and release what they have like they did with the gold and silver packages when HL2 first came out? I'll still bet the house that Episode 3...
I really hope they have bots for TF2. I'm really tired of these multiplayer FPS without a bot option. The AI doesn't have to be super advanced, I just want something to practice against or just let off some steam.
Wow. Just WOW! Best looking mod by far as well as the most anticipated in my book. I hope Valve hires them or they somehow work out a deal to sell it via Steam. It'd be a shame for this hard work not to be compensated. Bravo guys! Keep up the fantastic work.
I think people need to be more patient and less bitchy. I'm happy with Steam and with Valve's fairly consistent release of content for DoD:S and CS:S. Unlike other companies Valve atleast has an excuse - they've got a ton of projects on their plate while the people behind Duke Nukem Forever and...
