If your using the AMD 64 non fx series and your not overclocking dont bother getting an aftermarket heatsink as the regular 64 have cool n quiet which should produce a lot less heat when your not playing games.
BTX is probably a year or two away so that shouldnt factor into any decision you make. And besides i read somewhere that even when it is releases ATX may still be around for a a while into the BTX lifetime. But it might be a wise decision to wait for PCI expsress. But guinny for the last...
Just my opinion. But the only thing that currently needs upgrading is probably the videocard. As fasts as the 64 3200 is I dont think its going to be worth all the extra cash if your using your system for games. If you did go with the 64-3200 im almost positive you can use the memory you have...
I was reading through the new issue of pc gamer and there was some more information about whatever it is that alienware is doing. Here is exactly what is says in the magazine.
Im assuming that they mean 50-70% increase over the ATI 9600 and higher or the Nvidia 5800 or higher, not the card...
The new VIA chip I am considering for the FX-53 system im getting has a 1 ghz fsb (sadly its just as fast as an 800mhz fsb in games) and PCI-X I was just wondering if PCI-X is the same a PCI exspress. Below is some information I got off google.

how come the 6800 was up to 30 fps faster than the x800 in some games but in others it was exactly the same?

About 6 months ago everyone was like nvidea is the best because it was faster and then they realized that it couldnt run dx9 games very well. Does anyone...
ya i was looking at the thermaltake cases. Its nice that they have intrusion detection and locking doors. Thermaltake is my second choice if i dont go with cooler master
Ya that might work then i dont have to bother duct tapping it.
I live in the same city Fragapolozza is always held and theres over a thousand people going to the 4 day lan party so any one could just walk up and steal something without being noticed. Hopefully the hot glue will work.
I plan on bringing my system to a couple lan parties this summer. I have heard theft at lan parties is getting bad. Last year at some of the events in my city someone had their computer stolen and a couple of people had mice and keyboards stolen and videocards. What is the easiest way to may...
