What do you mean what sound? What settings? System? As far as I can remember, I think I use 5.1 (also tried 2.1) with an external amplifier (5.1, DTS ready) but with no success. I've tried to connect my computer through optical and analog cable (one cable for each speaker). I've got best...

I have the exact same problem. Everything works fine with FarCry, Doom III, MOHPA, etc. But with CSS only the front speakers work. Weird. I've email Valve but haven't got any response whatsoever. Oh well... :dozey: BTW, my mobo MSI K8N Neo with Realtek'97 onboard sound.
