can anyone tell me what that "snd_mixahead .1" is doing?? what does putting it to .4 mean??? I would love to change these numbers but what is this one actually doing with increasing the number??

Did anyone try to turn the sound complete off, that might work :) Well seeing as you all have tried all these things suggested as I cant until I get home from work, it discourages me from playing until its fixed. I am going to try all those things anyway because what doesnt work for you...

console is ~ key ....and it is definatly NOT just audigy cards I have nforce2 onboard sound stutters, same with my PCI slot soundblaster live 5.1

Really??? awesome.. I checked out game this morning to set up video, audio, controls and then all i did is take the train ride in. All that has shown on my menu is that main city 17 courtyard street with the monitor in the middle and the combine just walking around and some citizens.....the guy...

a lot of solutions for these types of problems are always answered usually with: go to your sound hardware acceleration and turn it down (all the way to the left)....I am at work but can someone do this and see if it helps?? Plus I have a gig of dual channel ddr 400 ram so that is not it...

yeah i am sure the console command will work, but I was wondering why there would not be a check box or somthing in the options of the game like all games have for a choice if there is a autoaim feature.

I see no option to turn it off and It is supposed to be active on easy and normal modes....does anyone know the solution because I dont want auto aim but I dont want to do hard difficulty level either many thanks

I agree that farcry had some nice night levels, but night is cool for a few but this is autumn in the game so I would rather see all the pretty colors of the leaves :) also one of the review said each level brings the sun down a little bit, so I heard this game spans 3 days....will we get 2...

we could but since i am on east coast (3 in morning for unlocking) I am going to go to bed early tomorrow and get up a little before work,set up contols, video, audio for hl2 then ride train in...then the rest will have to wait untill tuesday night
