It was recently selected as the new rifle for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). SCAR stands for Special (Operation Forces) Combat Assault Rifle. I suggest you do a nice SMG, maybe an MP5SD, or a Colt 9mm SMG (kinda like a 9mm M4) http://www.colt.com/law/smg.asp

That image is of the SCAR-L, the 5.56 version. Ichi, I'd stay stay away from the SCAR as there are about two reference pics you will find for it right now. If you do plan to do it, supposedly the lower reciever is identical to that of the FN FNC.

I have seen pictures from Iraq and Afghanistan of it in use. And quad rail handguards are definately sturdy enough for the recoil of an M203. Lets try to keep this thread limited to comments and critiques of ChrisArt's model.

Yeah, the reason I asked if you meant the handgaurd in the first place is because I wasnt sure. Dont mind me, I am just the forum gun nut. :sniper:

It is a handguard or a forend or forearm but not a foregrip, hanguard being the most common term., from what I can tell "foregrip" is some term that airsofters came up with. Now there is such thing as a vertical foregrip... such as this: http://www.tangodownllc.com/product/vertical.shtml
