do you have a firewall? the update may have changed hl2.exe and your firewall may not allow hl2.exe to have access to the network.
my suggestion: try disabling it, and if that works, make sure your firewall is allowing hl2 to have access to the network.
yeah it has problems with infinite physics values...if what you are trying to weld just moves to some crazy angle really quick, and is stuck...open the console
you will see tons of infinite physics value errors.
your best bet - type in disconnect in the console before it crashes (even if...
i think they have been working on MP for a while, so it won't seem rushed. there could be plenty of creative maps, maybe some more features than just hl2dm, ya know? ctf? vehicles?!!
but don't get your hopes up, it could just be the SDK, the base HL2dm, and one map...then valve will say...
well, i don't think anybody truly knows if it's meant to be in the U.S. or in Europe or what, they didn't specify it at all in the game. it could be anywhere, i think. The architecture is just european is all.
waitin' for the sdk and 'surprise' we are getting next week. also, like a few people said, messing with console commands, playing lots of CS:S, messing with the sdk on CS, etc...
what happens is you travel all the way up to the top, where you can see alyx through the glass. then you fight the 2 gunships. then you fire the energy balls at the center which is all perttyful and bright. these weird shield things should appear, knock all of 'em away with more energy balls...
ouch...i'm sorry dude. I have a crappy computer with low settings everything, but it wasn't that bad for me.
what are your system specs, just curious...

shows the package information.
No, as far as we know, CS: source is the only HL2 multiplayer that will be available upon release.
So i was wondering in these final hours, how well would my computer run HL2? well, i do play source quite often, but my computer isn't exactly the greatest one i could ask for, although it works. People tell me that if i can run source, i can run HL2, but really, that doesn't seem right to me...
800X600, i was experimenting with source and found that this boosted me 10-15 fps over 1024, definately worth the sacrifice...
also, bare minimum EVERYTHING but texture quality, which will be maxed. wish i could have cool shiny effects and bumpmapping, but my poor 'ol 9100 can't handle it.
it says radeon 9500 or higher i think...does that mean the new drivers won't effect my 9100?
-edit- oh, i think that it says it resolves punkbuster problems occuring on 9500's or higher, nvm then.
