    Ok ive read many a tutorial on the use of hint brushes but they all talk about small enclosed rooms and corridors. Now my map is a large open cityscape map and im unsure of how to properly use hint brushes. If anyone can give me some ideas that'd be good! :dork:

    I dont know what you boys are worried about, check this out! writing c:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\abc\half-life 2\hl2\maps\City13.bsp 179 hours, 43 minutes, 32 seconds elapsed I really should learn how to use hint brushes. :(

    Also when you use a model with its correct prop_*** it will perform as it should, so when you choose an exploding barrel with prop_physics it will explode just fine.

    theres a list of prefabs in the top right, when you select PrefabsHL2 there will be another dropdown menu near there and theres a few HL2 prefabs in it.

    ditto! We still play it to this day, 2v2 with cardboard down the middle seperating the 4 screens! Only good if you have a big TV though!

    Some of you guys are being a bit harsh on our team here! If somebody asks to join your team and shows you pictures of a model they say 'they' have made and you've never seen it before, what else can you do but take their word for it? I personally think its digraceful to steal work and pass it...

    fully lit prop statics

    if youve done a fast or full compile then lights normally come on. Sometimes you have to reload the map in game.
