    A humanoid Synth?

    It sort of does look like a humanoid alien creature, but I think that's a little bit of a stretch. Either the Combine modified the creature a lot, or this is an alien we haven't seen before.

    Yeah, the editing isn't the best in this video. It would've been better if it slowly faded through the images, or even had a simple side-by-side comparison.

    I'm playing through Black Mesa right now, but I have lots of stuttering issues so I think I'll get the original through the winter sale coming up.

    I'm not sure why Valve would suddenly decide to publish with another company, they would probably make more money publishing it themselves.
