No, I'm talking about coop. Based on SP SDK.
I have most of the things working except for player model animations and normal respawn, of course it also doesn't work with the Steam system. :/
At least with anims and normal respawns it's gonna be fully playable using direct connection.
You need to build both releases hl = server.dll and client = client.dll
Then you need only to build the file in which you made changes.
As for the "cannot find file" errors, it doesn't matter, everyone is getting it and it doesn't mean anything if it starts compiling cpp's after that.
You...
Ok thanks, I got this one working but i still can't get respawn to work... player just spawns like a ghost, enemies doesn't attack, and no events are triggered...
Ok does anyone know how to stop players from loosing their weapons on death, and instead make them to drop on the ground?
Also does someone know in which cpp/line can we change the respawn delay rate? I can't find any of these...
It seems that HL2DM models can be used in coop properly but i still can't fix the animations...
Someone should open male_anims.mdl and try to change it, at least i think thats the file to fix...
Their animations which you can find in models catalogue override NPC animations in SP maps, so you get combine and citizens without anims...
Also anim files are made for HL2DM, what you can see inside them, i don't know how to change them to work with any mod (mine in this case).
Maybe it's...
Anyway... i think i got everything i need working EXCEPT for the darn player models, if you find custom player model somewhere (not the Gordon one, it's not working) please let me know.
It's not that easy...
I'm working on Coop and i still got 3 major problems:
- no player models, i need some new model with animations working in DM mode (those from HL2DM cannot be used)
- wrong soundscapes, not working properly in DM mode causing sound dropping and sometimes game crash...
Guys remember it's Valve afterall, soon by Valve can mean practically anything. We may get the DM today but this could be also a marketing trick to get the sales even higher for some time.
So don't get too excited.
Next poll should compare the top/bottom openers and time it took them to beat the game... i bet that the bottom openers beat it easier than top openers. :imu:
