Counter-Strike: Source Market - Weapon Pricing

TFC died mainly because it stagnated. No other single reason 'killed' it. By the time the teleporters arrived the game was already in terminal decline as it had barely received any updates in years before that, not even bug-fixes. CS has constantly changed over the years and 99% of the...

Counter-Strike: Source Market - Weapon Pricing

I personally think this is a great idea and I'm interested to see how it plays out.

    Fortress Forever - Dustbowl Video

I wrote a lengthy dev journal on why we chose not to do that. You can read it here, if interested: http://fortress-forever.com/?a=devj&dev=6 (it's just slightly over half way down the page. Bring some food and something to drink as you'll be reading for a while).

    Psychonauts Coming to Steam

There are a lot of passionate Psychonauts lovers around. Hopefully word of mouth + reviews + steam will elevate their sales to the level that the game deserved (or so I've been reliably informed!) :)

    Fortress Forever - Dustbowl Video

You're going to like playing pyro in FF then. We played push for two hours on Sunday and goddamn, the pyro was ruining me :P Having a nice flame effect almost makes the pyro much better by itself, as you can constantly disorientate people and put them off a lot more (as opposed to TFC where...

    Fortress Forever - Dustbowl Video

Well, I'll disagree with you on that. Spy disguise theft means a sneaky player can kill someone and remain disguised. The IC arc means that the weapon is almost entirely different to use now -- it's like firing a hand-held mortar and has a kickback effect, you can fire projectiles into...

    Fortress Forever - Dustbowl Video

There's a movement cap just like TFC. We can alter it as necessary; i.e. if bhop is too fast or effective, we can take the sting out of it. Also, jumping in FF is more like the quake based games -- it's easier to learn to bunny hop as a result, and it also eliminates the resulting two tier...

    Fortress Forever - Dustbowl Video

Some of that footage was created many weeks ago and certain things were missing from the mod back then, so we couldn't really feature a few things.

    Fortress Forever - Dustbowl Video

The SDK update kinda derailed us and every other mod for a few weeks, in fact, we would've had this video out weeks ago but we didn't have a linux server to play on (as the sdk wouldn't compile on linux, then it was crashing on linux). We're working hard on getting the mod ship-shape...

    PopCap Games Now on Steam

They could at least collapse all of those games into one icon and let you choose from there. I don't want to see 20 "deluxe" games on my steam list when I have no intention of installing any of them. :P

    Fortress Forever media update

I think people are debating the TF2 versus FF thing a bit too vigorously. We've always known that it was possible that Valve would lift the curtain on a TFC:S or that TF2 may be more like TFC than originally planned. Neither event has changed anything we've done really -- there's no point in...

    Fortress Forever media update

push had a following, actually -- mostly amongst small groups who liked some fun games without grens :) It's never ever going to challenge dustbowl and 2fort in the popularity stakes, but it was a nice change of scenery in TFC.

    Fortress Forever media update

Well to be fair, it's pretty hard to hit beta in the midst of a huge SDK update which basically ruined any chance of hitting that date. We didn't even have a linux server for two weeks as the SDK update fecked it. The current fix we have is down to mirv's ingenuity rather than valve fixing it...
