no DUH!!! but this was happening BEFORE the hl2 problem. how do i fix this?

HL2:DM hey!! Well, i'm verifying the files, but i have another problem, my Garry's mod v8.2 opens up the load screen with the little blue grav gun, then it closes. but thats not becasue of hl2 missing files, it did that before my hl2 wasn't working.
