1. Steambox
2. Half Life 3 exclusive to Steambox platform (pushes sales of Steambox)
3. Family game sharing OR entire Valve catalogue of games for a low price for play on Steambox
I'm and old guy (49) and remember how jazzed I was when Half Life first came out - played it 4 times within the first 6 months. After Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein 3d, it was HL that got me into 1st person shooters. I have never really enjoyed multiplayer 1st person shooters - I enjoy the story...
I am in the same position as you were. I have cleared the milk crate from behind the gate but still no one is by the keypad on the wall of the house. The colonel downstairs has advised me that someone will open the gate for me but the nearest guy is a red cross guy leaning against the wall not...
It was land the Israelis held in biblical times and the only reason they are there now is via treaty after WWII. The Palestinians were forced out of their homes and off their land by Israeli "settlers". Check your history books before you flaunt your ignorance in this manner.
Cool - they had a few more "in stock" today so I ordered one. I'll have it through Steam for me and give this to my son (and keep the extra stuff <G>).
It says that it's sold out. :(
I bet that they screwed up on the price. We'll see - if so I will order it there was well as use the Steam purchase. My son and I can play online :D
As zex said, if HL:S is released before I might. However, I have played it into the ground so many times now that I think I would just get bored by the time the soldiers show up. I will probably play a bit to see how the new Source engine spruces up the old maps and textures but that's about it.
Good for them!
I hope they made a killing and get to keep the majority of it. I don't mind supporting a quality game company with a few extra bucks, rather than forking out money to a company that cranks out crap. :bounce:
Good work, Gabe et. al.! Enjoy your profits - you deserve it...
They are in their own directory in one of the Steam subdirectories. It is actually quite painless. The install files can also be burned to cd/dvd so you can reformat without losing them and having to redownload. It's actually pretty convenient IMHO.
