Yes .. come post on the hl2.net message board about it not being out yet .. that'll speed things up. Sure it's disapointing, sure it sucks having it and not being able to play - but you know, there are so many other things in life that are actually worth getting upset over. This is not one...

Sigh. Just say "Yes, you are right, there is no multiplayer for HL2." and let them all be horribly disapointed now. Then when HL2 does come out and it is there, it will be a nice surprise. Point is, just say there isn't to shut them all the hell up.

eh, I didn't even enjoy the first Deus Ex .. I just found it very very boring. I wanted to like it ... I tried to like it ... I even tried to force myself to like it ... just - couldn't. There wasn't any part of it I did like, except maybe that logo in the opening scene .. oh oh .. and...

Sigh. Only mmorpgs do because they are the only ones that can justify the cost. Unless you connect to a specific Valve server and are only allowed to play on those servers - you will not have to pay a monthly fee. You honestly think Valve would make you buy the game, then make you pay...

Single player. Multiplayer does not exist till singleplayer is completed. I will avoid all aspects of HL2 related websites as I will probably be too busy playing HL2 to even look at them.

Unless they plan on providing specific servers on which you can only play on, allow thousands to connect at the same time and play together and provide and staff a 24/7 tech support - they wont. You cant justify the fees and your user base will be very limited.

not to mention allowing people to develope and market their games without having to pay the high publisher fees. Games such as www.burningsea.com .

They are not going to charge a monthly fee for simply playing online. The online fees charged by other games are to cover the bandwidth and tech support of a live 24/7 server capable of supporting thousands, even millions of gamers. They could, potentially, charge a monthly service for...
