With a decent sniper rifle(& Training), ghillie suit & time specific maps, I could change any pre-modern(No guns) warfare situation with a few well placed shots on the guys on horse back. Also I don't think I'll survive too long in the past, those ancient bacteria would quickly tear me a new one.
I don't want to get into the flame mac vs windows posts, but it seems like there are few potential problems with porting HL2 over to mac.
- Before Hl2 or Games could be ported they would need to make steam for the mac. It seems trivial, but they would most likely have to branch they're...
The only thing I would wish for is that Valve does a staggered release for PC. Let us pre-buy hl2:e2 and get to play portal or tfc2, even though hl2:e2 isn't done, kind of like how we got to play cs:s before half-life 2 was released, even though it was a beta.
That might be a little hard, didn't troika go out of business, but if it did move to steam it would help it out so much, the old source engine feels so dated, it's so jerky, people fly(warp speed) between areas, and didn't feel finished the last time I played it.
I did my own thing there, I waited for the guard to go back towards the house and followed him and walked behind the guards hold the men and continued to the fence, hugging the houses.
