alright well i figured out what the problem was... i did another windows reinstall and decided to go step by step to see what would make the video stopped working and well...it turned out to be my video drivers..apparently nvidias forceware versions 91.13 and 91.33 dont like my video card. so...

hmm, i found this handy codec detector on the microsoft website, and according to it i have no codecs installed on my computer...even after i tried installing all the codecs seperately >_<

im on that quest right now and ive been getting through the entire area with one lockpick (like all the doors in the area are hard)

alright, well everytime i start up a program like windows media player, quicktime, etc my computer slows down to a crawl and then when i am able to shut them down it returns to normal. i know its not a virus because i ran three different spyware scanners and norton in safe mode, and i doubt it...

well i got my processor and its working great so far =D i also got an x-fi and 2gb of ram from newegg.. and i ve had an incredible increase in fps in every one of my games and they look and sound great too now =]
