I like having the cd/box and things in my hand.
Plus i'm stuck on 56k (can't get dsl or cable) so d/ling gb's of data isn't very nice to me.
As far as publisher vs devs.
Well the publisher doesn't just "put the boxes in stores"
As mentioned, the publisher is the backbone of a LOT of...
"i know 56k lags. i have been hosting serves for about 1 year now and EVERY time a 56ker joins it lags. plain and simple truth."
learn some netcode and then try to make an argument.
At least try to provide some shred of truth....
I've got my response, infact I have it from a Developer...
This is highly disappointing to me.
the box looks like some cheap regular cardboard box.
It'd be nice if it was metallic or something, isntead of just a "bigger box with potraits of the main characters" stamped on it.
The "extra's" aren't much, a strat guide (that i'd never use) and a...
Man, some people are very un-aware of how netcode for a lot of games work.
A 56ker on a sever will NOT cause other people to lag. That's just a myth, it's not true.
The only time a slower connection can affect yours in a game are in games that require people to be "in sync" (like most...

One thing that really irks me about the size change, was that the cost was supposed to be passed to the consumer, however have you seen the price of games come down at all?
no...
My favorite games:
Myth series, by bungie. Had one of the best stories in a game ever imo, very "epic" feeling to it. Excellent gameplay, gory and fun. You can find myth I and II together in a pack called the total codex for about 15-20 bucks, anyone that like's RTS's should check it out if...
The Myth series by bungie.
My favorite RTS of all time, GREAT story, great gameplay, very very gory and fun. It's focuses on the combat and not building or anything.
Blade of Darkness - Best medieval Action game imo. The combat system is the best i've found in any type of game like that...
I wish i did.
It was awesome, basically you were in a saloon with a radoll cowboy, and you could "punch/kick" him off the balacony and onto tables, etc.
I haven't been able to find that demo forever.
Even if you do get a Widescreen TV you'll have some black lines at the top/bottom of the screen sometimes.
Not nearly as much as you would on a regular 4:3 screen though.
