Just got an email from ebgames saying the shipping date has been changed because the first one wasn't confirmed yet, so I was just wondering if there has been any new news from valve on the ship date and/or where you guys pre-ordered so in case ebgames keeps that date and hl is released on time...

Yes it did happen with Doom 3 I guess, but I really enjoyed doom 3 I just don't play it much now, the thing is, a thread isn't needed for this because everyone knows what hype is etc etc, and I (I'm not sure about the rest of you) know to expect a game to be a little worse than it is hyped up to...

I have tried many online retailers looking for an x800 xt but it seems they are discontinued everywhere and I was wondering if anyone knew when ati was going to be releasing them again, I tried looking at the press release but there were just too many words, thanks for anything.

I think is should be like this, Valve: "Hey HL2 is coming out soon!" Within the next day: "HL2 hits stores!" It'd be so much easier, and valve could take their time.
