the title pretty much sums up what I'm trying to do. I have three 20" widescreen (1680x1050) LCD's that I'd like to get working in triple head for HL2, Portal, etc.
Anyone gotten this working or have some insight?
doubtful that this means anything, but in computer programming circles the suffix "a" on a version number means "alpha" as in it's not a final version and still contains bugs.
I think that an intimate encounter between them opens up some nice gameplay possibilities for valve. hold CTRL+and rapidly move the mouse to and fro. Then hit CTRL-ALT-SPACE at just the right time for maximum effectiveness. :O
I think the "coolest" use for the portals that I cam across was using them as a periscope to peer around corners. one more than one occasion this kept me from walking into a turret trap.
Anyone notice that the calendar is dated September 1983. I wonder if that is supposed to be the contemporary date (roughly) for the game's action. That would mean that Aperture (and its ultimate downfall) predated Black Mesa by quite a bit.
it actually kinda reminds me of a vortigaunt if you were to stretch their neck out instead of having the curvature like they normally do. however, it's probably a chicken.
Valve had issues with the x64 builds on the new EP2 codebase. So, they've temporarily disabled it. For now, us 64-bit users (AMD FX-62 user here) will have to wait. Valve has said they're re-enabled the x64 builds when they get the issues fixed.
My machine is running on a totally fresh install of Windows with no anti-virus installed at all. I actually meant to install it when I re-installed on Monday night but just forgot. So, it's not AV software in my case. :-\
Well, with all of my crashing I about gave up. But, I was able to keep Portal stable to get through it even though Ep2 is still giving me trouble.
that said, I've read that there are parts of Ep2 that make reference to Portal. Would someone mind explaining these references to me since I...
First, my rig is definitely in spec:
AMD FX-62
590 SLI Mobo
8800GTX PCIE
4GB Memory
Windows XP x64
SB X-Fi Fatal1ty Edition
However, I keep getting random lock-ups and crashes. I thought that it might be related to auto-saving so I've disabled that but the crashes are still happening...
