I remember reading valve were implementing dx10 in Team Fortress 2, they were saying about softer particles or something. Meh, seems im wrong, i had always assumed the little dx dropdown box was for people with dx10.

Im now using vista ultimate (i'm actually suprised how much i like it) and have been playing with dx10 on a couple of games, not noticing much difference so far. Anyway, when i go into source games it says Directx 9.0c+ and wont let me change it, why? Thanks
