Noah "Spoony One" Antwiler is the best bad game reviewer out there. It's kinda sad he doesn't get as much notice as opposed to the AVGN (who's gotten weaker over the past few videos).
The tracks depicted in the game might be shorter/longer. For instance, the first track on the soundtrack is the full version which was previously heard in HL1. It's shortened in HL2.
It's hard to support them when stuff like this appears. As long as it's done TACTFULLY (not a big-ass AXE sign like in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory) and it's not overblown (not 500 ads on one wall like SWAT 4), then maybe I'll deal with it.
Valve is becoming EA.
You will need to extract the 1.6 models using GCFScape and put them into the counter-strike/cstrike/models folder. That's the only way to get the original models back.
I'm surprised that this mod still has a fanbase, what with TF2 coming and all... Plus they're still failing the simple fundamentals of a game mod. You're not a game being sold to the public, you CAN release versions that have one map and 2-3 functioning skill classes!
I was slightly tiffed at the demos (1 Hour? damn, shareware games gave me more flexible time!) and the price ($20/game? Maybe $20 for three games...).
I found some of the games fun, so whatever.
All of the videos were awesome.
And damn it I want the music from the TF2 trailer and that bit in the HL2:Episode Two gameplay footage.
(And one more thing, RE: TF2 trailer: No Pyro or Medic love? I'm sad.)
I got mine post-update, and I never got that "Bit too easy" feeling. Although I still had that "Crap, feels good to get out of there!" feeling.
I mean, are we gonna bitch for EVERY little thing Valve does in adjustment to their games? I swear the fanbase for Half-Life is the most whiniest.
