In Gmod you can make something have a shiny relective metallic like texture. How do yo make that texture in Hammer?

It seemed so easy to get sprays to work in CS:S. For some reason They won't work in DOD:S. I make a 256x256 image in PS. I have the VTF plugin so I save it to the ....materials/logos folder, then in my options menu it shows up fine, then I go to play and it makes the sound but there is no spray...

I completly agree about the rounded corners, it makes me feel like it takes up too much space than it needs to.

All the steam games have icons next to them in the "MY Games" display like DOD:s and CS yatta yatta. How do I add my own icon in there, like for Garrys Mod. G-Mod has no icon, but I would like to put one in there. How can it be done?

does anyone know how to disable the little valve intro when you start up DOD:S? I just think it's a waste of time and would rather not have it at all.

Before I played DOD:S I pretty much thought of DOD as a sub-par mod. Pretty much I was all against it. Then you play it for like 15 minutes, and you start to feel different. Once you have the maps figgured out this game is Awsome! I Love it.

I cant find it in the tuts...and I just wanna know how to reskin the HL2 characters, or more specifically the DOD:S Characters. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Well I did, and at first Im like, meh...but after getting to know the layout of the map (so far I have only played avalanche) I find that I'm having more fun. As for HDR, I don't think its like OMG that is freakin Awsome! But I do like it and think it was done well. hanks for the input...

Well Should I get DOD:S or not. Will I play it for more than a day? Is it worth 20 dollors? Will I delete this game from my comp in a month? How does it measure up to CSS?

I don't care what the hell the box said (which wasn't "You Don't get DOD:S") I bought the most expensive package there was to buy for HL2, and now they are telling me that I don't get DOD:S. They can all suck a fat one. They should give DOD:S to collectors edition owners, it feels like they...

yeah, I hardly think valve is working on this problem. I think that in the course of 1 day, a tech. could sit down at valve and hammer out the problems with the friends function. We have not seen it work in close to a year. We need this fixed.

This has frusterated me for so long now. Why don't they set a week aside, maybe even 2 days and fix the friends function. It hasn't worked almost as long as Source has been out, and we really could benifit from this. Any way I thought that maybe if we could start a petition to show them that...
