DAMN, steam keeps setting my shadow detail to LOW.. that's why the players does't have the nice shadow.. sorry for that :(

No game that i know off has a "forced auto-detect" settings..
The auto-detect is to help people find a good config for their computer, not to force you to use some settings..

On the video from E3 the steam interface has rounded edge's and is a little

Remember that cliffe and gooseman are working for Valve now, and the sound in the end of the E3 demo "Counter-Strike Source!" is very much like the old sounds that gooseman made..
So i think Cliffe and Gooseman are the people that are making cs:source, and not some other valve dude..

Remember the problem with characters + light?
characters in light was bright, and if they where outside the light the where dark..
The problem was when they where moving into the light, or half of the character was in some sort of light..
Looks like they have fixed this in the new build...
This is a problem with hercules 9800 pro, catalyst and AA..
You can either turn of aa on direct3d or use opengl with aa on..
