DOD Source was an enorumous departure and change of direction, actually. It broke down the barrier of point-and-click and made the game accessible to people who are smart, not just the jibbering FPS fiends that 'skill'-based games reward. You need only look at the furore in the DOD community...
Funny story: someone on the Red Orchestra forums once told me that Source couldn't possibly handle a realistic game because all of the ones that had been created for it so far have been arcadey. :rolleyes:

Nice post. Why ask the above though? Multi-seat vehicles have been in the Source pamphlet since it was first made. A long time ago, TF2 was like the old design, after all. ;)

I would be shocked as well, not least because Ep2 focuses on vehicles (which were a major part of the original TF2 design). And also because, you know, it's Team bloody Fortress.
As for the FF guys...
It looks like a partial implemntation of the new lighting and shadowing system. Partial because it isn't responding to the light from the MG.
They really need to start adding facial expressions to the soldiers. At the very least, they should be turning their heads like in HL2DM. The Allied...
